
ABOUT US
SPGCCC, Inc. was established in July 1999 and blossomed from the vision of serving the citizens of Southern Prince George’s County, Maryland. The organization primarily works in collaboration with the members of Upsilon Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated located in Fort Washington, Maryland. Despite the collaborative efforts, SPGCCC, Inc. is a separate legal entity from Upsilon Tau Omega Chapter and conducts business in its own name.
With the support of volunteers and donors, SPGCCC, Inc. plays a vital role in transforming the lives of the residents and surrounding communities it serves by addressing their needs through partnerships, outreach, and technology. We facilitate programs that provide opportunities for educational advancement and enhance quality of life improvements for those in need.
SPGCCC, Inc. works diligently to make a positive impact on Southern Prince George’s County and identify the needs of the global community. As we continue our philanthropic efforts for long-term sustainability, the foundation is ever so grateful to receive your support and the ongoing encouragement of the community.
OUR MISSION
Southern Prince George’s County Community Charities (SPGCCC), Inc. is a non-profit, tax exempt, 501 (c) (3) foundation established to facilitate fundraising activities that fund programs of service on behalf of Upsilon Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
SPGCCC, Inc. is commonly referred to as the “foundation” which recognizes the importance of community and partnership. SPGCCC, Inc. is a mission driven organization inspired by its founding principles and values and seeks to promote the charitable and philanthropic endeavors within the meaning of Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, or successor provisions (the “Code”). SPGCCC, Inc. is eligible to receive charitable contributions, grants and income. SPGCCC, Inc. is also shielded from state and federal taxes.

Passion Driven Programs Commitment to the Community
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Upsilon Tau Omega Chapter, in partnership with SPGCCC, participated in 1908 Playground Mobilization Day on the grounds of Tanglewood Regional School in Clinton, Maryland. Tanglewood serves students with developmental challenges, and a functioning playground improves the physical, mental, social and sensory stimulation of the students.
