Inaugural Pearls of Wisdom Golf Tournament
On August 26, 2017, SPGCCC welcomed fifty-two golfers for its inaugural Pearls of Wisdom Golf Tournament held at the National Golf Club in Ft. Washington, Maryland. A professional golf clinic was offered for non-golfers and Kelsey Nicole Nelson’s radio show on Fox Sports Radio “Listen In with KNN” was broadcast live from the tournament. Ms. Nelson interviewed SPGCCC President Danaeka Spear and event contributor Fareed Singletary of Heart and Soul Magazine. A dinner buffet and awards ceremony concluded the event. A good time was had by all and SPGCCC was able to raise needed funds to support high school scholarships and community programs

BINGO
Scholarship Ceremony
Southern Prince George's County Community Charities (SPGCCC), Inc. in partnership with Upsilon Tau Omega Chapter offers scholarships to qualified high school students each year. High school students who plan to attend a two year or four year college or university on a full time basis after graduation may apply for the scholarships. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement and individual motivation. To be eligible, the students must reside in or attend high school in Districts 8 or 9 in Southern Prince George's County.
In June of 2017, The Scholarship Program recognized and awarded scholarships to the following 11 graduating high school students and the Sylvia Avery Memorial Scholarship recipient.

SPGCCC serves the Ft. Washington community in myriad ways. Volunteers set up and run bingo for the residents of the Ft. Washington Health Center several times a year. This relationship has been established for many years and both the residents and the volunteers look forward to the fellowship and friendly competition.
